CoverShield ("CoverShield," "we," "us") operates covershield.live as a free insurance quote referral service. We connect consumers with state-licensed insurance agents and admitted carriers. We do not underwrite or issue insurance policies.
2. Information we collect
When you request a quote we may collect:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and ZIP/state.
- The type of coverage you're asking about and basic eligibility details (e.g., age range, household size, vehicle/home info).
- Technical data such as IP address, browser, device, referring page, and pages viewed.
3. How we use it
- To route your request to a licensed agent or carrier admitted in your state.
- To call, text (SMS), or email you about your quote request and related insurance products.
- To prevent fraud, debug the service, and improve our content.
4. TCPA / express written consent
By submitting your phone number through any form or call-back request on this site, you give CoverShield and the licensed agents/carriers we partner with express written consent to contact you at the number provided — including by automated telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice, and SMS text message — for marketing of insurance products. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, asking to be removed during a call, or emailing privacy@covershield.live.
5. Sharing
We share the information you submit with licensed insurance agents and carriers in our network so they can provide a quote. We may share aggregated, de-identified data with analytics and advertising vendors. We do not sell your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Your rights (CCPA, CPRA, state laws)
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other state residents have the right to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing of their personal information. To exercise these rights email privacy@covershield.live with the subject line "Privacy Request."
7. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and to remember your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
